UPDATE - 3/11/04:

1st section of the Fence is up, new house doors installed, the patio is tiled and landscaping was completed. Some finish tile work, the cooking gazebo and pool area wood decking remains to be done, as well as the roof and screen for the back porch deck.

However, winter was very rough on the "snow on the mountain" plants and they will all have to be replaced, probably with Nandina! So landscaping is not compelted afterall.

UPDATE - 8/1/04:

75% of the fence is up, electricity is finalized, landscaping is occurring and the pool is finished! Tile work has not started, but will probably happen in the fall. Still to come are the outdoor speakers (already purchased) and the sound system.

UPDATE - 7/7/04:

Things have moved along well. The pool has been useable since July 4th weekend. The electrical contractor arrives tomorrow to power up things permanently, thank goodness, temporary power is no fun. After tomorrow, hopefully, things will move fast to include the Salt and Polaris cleaning systems, water spouts, patio lantern (click to see the Casa Sorrento Outdoor Lantern) and pool lighting. Currently, the waterfall is now installed, the fence is under contruction and lanscaping is beginning. Sod has been laid and plant selection nearing completion. The final BIG project is the outdoor tile for the poolside patio. We have settled on a natural stone type field tile that is available in four dimensions. The four sizes are laid in a carpet style pattern. Here is the link to view them: EarthScapes - Canyon. The Canyon color is a sandstone brown that complements the waterfall, pool tile and brick on our house very well. The new photos below reflect a lack of finishing touches:
